Walla Walla Onion is a long-day onion variety that works great in northern climates. This is a sweet onion that gets large and will average 2-3 pounds. It has a mild, sweet flavor that compares to the Vidalia onions grown in the southern states. Walla Walla matures relatively early and can also be grown in some intermediate-day growing zones.
