Black Zebra Cherry Tomato is a heirloom, indeterminate cherry tomato variety with a red burgundy exterior and green stripes. This variety is a stabilized cross between a black tomato and a green zebra tomato. These cherry tomatoes have a dark red, almost mahogany interior. Prolific plants produce heavy yields of 3 to 4 oz tomatoes that are great eaten directly off the vine. If they do make it inside, they make a great fresh salad tomato. Black Zebra Cherry Tomato has a rich flavor and deep complexity characteristic of darker-colored tomatoes. This is a great variety to grow on a panel trellis in the garden, but also makes a great patio variety. It can even be grown in a hanging basket with the vines allowed to dangle.
